Abstract
This peace and order can be disrupted by various causes and conditions including violations of applicable laws, which cause disruption of public peace and order. The village government in achieving goals, carries out various activities such as coaching, monitoring and counseling the community and from that there must be activities held to overcome and reduce existing problems, such as the environmental security system (siskamling) does not work, so that theft often occurs in the village. Tanah Datar, such as the case of motorcycle theft. The purpose of this study was to analyze the evaluation of the implementation of the function of the Village Head in maintaining peace and order in Tanah Datar Village, Rengat Barat District, Indragiri Hulu Regency and the inhibiting factors. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method with data collection through interviews, observation and documentation. Key and informants in this study were the village head, village secretary, Head of Village Development Planning, Head of BPD and the community. The results of the study were an evaluation of the implementation of the function of the Village Head in the administration of peace and order in Tanah Datar Village, West Rengat District, Indragiri Hulu Regency in the less implemented category. This can be seen from the ineffectiveness of the siskamling program and other community activities, with the obstacle The existence of people who do not participate in carrying out community programs. The length of the disbursement of funds so that community programs cannot run smoothly. In the Tanah Datar Village Community organization, Rengat Barat District, there are still members who are less active in the program.
