Abstract
This study aims to determine the role of the Village Head in the field of maintaining peace and order in Sei Geringging Village, Kampar Kiri District, Kampar Regency. The purpose and use of this research is to develop knowledge, especially those in the field of government science studies and information and input materials for the village government. types of primary data and secondary data. Primary data is the main data in this study which is obtained directly from respondents regarding the identity of the respondent and the role of the village head in maintaining peace and order. and secondary data is supporting data in this study regarding the geographical, demographic conditions of Sei Geringging Village and a description of the position, duties and functions of the Village Head and the organizational structure of the village office. Based on the results of research and analysis that has been done, it can be concluded that the role of the Village Head in maintaining peace and order in Sei Geringging Village is in the category of playing a role, because of the number of respondents' answers. Obstacles and obstacles in carrying out tasks in maintaining peace and public order in Sei Geringging Village, overall there are no obstacles and obstacles because according to the Village Head everything has been coordinated from superiors and subordinates.
