Abstract

This research is aimed at knowing the contribution of muscle strength. With the ability to service under the volleyball extrscurricular male Mts Bustanul Ulum Pekanbaru. This type of research is a choleration research the population in the study is the male student’s ability to extrscurricular volleyball in Mts Bustanul Ulum Pekanbaru. There sre 14 people in pekanbaru. Because the population is small, which is less than 100 people, the entire population is made as a sample of research that is called total sampling. The test instrument used was a push up test that is (variable X) and a service test under volleyball (variable Y). Based on the results of the study concluded that there is no arm muscle strength on the ability to service under the volleyball of male students of Mts Bustanul Ulum Pekanbaru. To find magnitude of the contribution of the two variables, the formula produc moment KP= r2 x 100 %. Based on data analysis where r count (0,07) < r table (0,532), the average result of arm muscle strength (12,64) and average service down (9,78). Obtained the results of the contribution of arm muscle strength to the ability to service under volleyball for (99,51%).
