Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of learning motivation to the learning outcomes of physical education for eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Sabak Auh, Siak Sri Indrapura Regency. This type of research is correlation which is a statistical method used to calculate the degree of relationship between two different variables. The population in this study were eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Sabak Auh, Siak Sri Indrapura Regency, totaling 80 people. The sampling technique used was total sampling so that the number of samples in this study were 80 students. The test instrument used was a questionnaire test of learning motivation and the value of Physical Education learning outcomes. Data analysis technique used is to calculate the correlation value with the test formula r. Based on the results of the study, the conclusions obtained in this study are: the relationship of learning motivation to physical education learning outcomes of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Sabak Auh, Siak Sri Indrapura Regency or in the medium category with rcount = 0.436> rtable = 0.220.
