Abstract
The covid-19 pademic has had an impact on the education system in Indonesia, namely a change from an offline learning system to online or know has distance learning. The implementation of PJJ at various levels of education including high education which is carried out suddenly causes the emergence of many problems faced by students. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of PJJ barriers to student at the islamict university of riau. The research subjects where 141 students who were determined by using accidental sampling. The research istrument used is the barriers off students to online learning which consists of 45 items compiled by Muilenburg dan Berge (2005) and has been adapted into Indonesian. Statistical analysis used is descriptive statistical analysis. The results of the study showed that the majority of Uir students experienced problems with PJJ in the high category, which 70,9%. When viewed from gender and semester, it was found that there was no significant difference in frequency in each category off PJJ barriers, namely the majority were in the high category.
