Abstract
Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDES) are village businesses managed by the village government, which aim to improve the economy of rural communities. Basically, BUMDES provides loans to the public in the form of business loans. The credit given can give rise to a debt agreement. To provide credit, a BUMDES must adhere to the precautionary principle and pay attention to 5 elements, namely Character, Capacity, Capital, Collateral, and Condition. From the above background, the problems studied are how the implementation of lending to BUMDES in Kuapan Village and how to resolve bad loans at BUMDES in Kuapan Village. In this study, the type of research used is observational research by means of a survey, the sampling method is purpusive sampling, namely sampling that is only adjusted to the objectives of the researcher, in order to achieve the aims and objectives of this study. As the title suggests, the location of this research is BUMDES, Kuapan Village, Tambang District, Kampar Regency. The population in this study were 79 creditors in Kuapan Village. Then the sample is 30 people from Kuapan Village. From this study, it can be concluded that the implementation of credit agreements at BUMDES Kuapan Village, Tambang District, Kampar Regency, many defaults occur due to the absence of good faith from customers and the business undertaken by customers has not received maximum results, so customers cannot fulfill their obligations to pay credit properly. time. Efforts to resolve bad loans at the BUMDES of Kuapan Village, Tambang District, Kampar Regency did not run according to existing regulations, so that the settlement of credit was neglected and caused losses to the BUMDES of Kuapan Village.
