Abstract

Bridge is a structural building whose purpose is to cross a river or build a new road like a flyover. The development of knowledge about bridges such as prestressed concrete is aimed at obtaining a long bridge span by pressing the concrete using pre-stressed steel. However, the loss of prestressed strength is one of the factors that is considered in the process of applying stress to the pre-stressed concrete. This research uses pre-stressed concrete beam with I girder profile with 50 MPa concrete quality and 2.1 meter girder height. The pre-stressed steel cable used is uncoated 7 wires super strands ASTM 416 grade 270 low relaxation diameter 12,7 mm. The pulling method used is post tensile by dividing several segments of the bridge girder which are reviewed fully pre-stressed. The results of this study indicate that the pre-stressed beam with a span of 40.5 meters has an initial pre-stress force of 11701.409 kN and a total loss of pre-stressed force of 9027.349 kN or 15.951%. The control tension on the upper fiber fa = - 131.718 kPa and the lower fiber tension fb = - 25500 kPa meet the permit stress, which is small, equal to fcs = - 25500 kPa. Then, control of the deflection of the composite beam under service conditions was carried out with a permit deflection of 0.135 meters and a maximum deflection of -0.057 meters, so the analyzed bridge met the allowable deflection.
