Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of arm muscle power to the three-point shots of basketball in the eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Sei Apit, Siak Regency. This type of research is correlational. The sample of this study was the male students of class XI IPS 2 of SMA Negeri 1 Sei Apit, Siak Regency, totaling 15 students. The sample technique in this study was total sampling, thus the number of samples was 15 students. From calculations using the product moment correlation formula, the following values are obtained: r count of 0.582. The value of r table at n = 15 or df = 13 (5%) is 0.510. The comparison results are obtained under r count> r table or 0.582 > 0.510. Determination coefficient 33,9%. The conclusion of this study is that there is significant contribution of arm muscle power to the results of shooting three point basketball game for class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Sei Apit in Siak Regency with a percentage of only 33,9%.
