Abstract
AKBAR RIAWAN, 2019. Relationship of Leg Muscle Power to 100-meter Sprint Sprints for Male Students Class XI iis SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru City. This study aims to determine the relationship between leg power and 100 meters Sprint running for male students of Class XI IIS in SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru. This type of research is correlational research. The method used is a survey with data collection techniques using measurement tests. The population in this study was SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru city with a total of 70 students, while 20 students were sampled. The sampling technique uses random sampling. The instrument used to measure leg muscle power uses the standing broad jump test, and running speed was measured using a 100 meters run test.Data analysis uses Product Moment correlation techniques. The results showed that. There is a significant relationship between leg muscle power and 100 meters sprints in Class XI Male Students, SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru, with a value of rxy = 0,600. Conclusions of the study there is a relationship between leg muscle power and the results of 100 meters sprints for male students of class XI iis SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru.
