Abstract
One of the causes of not achieving the production target in an oil well is an failure in the selection of the number of Shot Per Foot (SPF) perforations. One way that the expected production target can be met is to use the number of Shot Per Foot (SPF) perforations that are adjusted to the ability of the optimal production rate of a well. To find the suitability in choosing the right number of Shot Per Foot (SPF) perforations, an analysis was carried out using the calculation of the intake tubing curve combined with the IPR curve analysis. Based on the calculations, the optimal production rate in the X1 production well is 300 bopd and the optimal production rate capability in the X2 well is 400 bpod. Based on the nodal analysis carried out, the appropriate amount of SPF used in the X1 production well is 6 SPF and the X2 production well is 4 SPF.
