Abstract
Research on the Development of the Narasinga II Dance Studio by the Indragiri Hulu Arts Council of Riau Province was carried out starting on December 6, 2018. The Narasinga II Dance Studio was a studio that was established after having changed leadership one time. Before the Narasinga II Dance Studio, the studio was named Sanggar Dang Purnama in 2002-2016 which was led by Maulan. Then in the middle of 2016 until now the studio was renamed the Narasinga II studio which was led by the Indragiri Hulu Arts Council and chaired by Deri Ramunda. The aim of the establishment of the Narasinga II Dance Studio is to foster the unity and unity of Indragiri Hulu Narasinga II Members in the arts and culture, and to form the personalities of members of the Sanggar who are insightful, creative, innovative, critical, independent, cultured and responsible for participating in Indragiri's development Upstream in particular and national development in general. The formulation of the problem in this research is How is the Development of the Narasinga Dance Studio II by the Arts Council in Rengat District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, Riau Province? The purpose of the problem is to find out the Development of the Narasinga II Dance Studio by the Arts Council in Rengat District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, Riau Province. Theory of coaching according to Urwick and Thoha. Dance coaching theory according to Sedyawati (1979: 39). This research uses descriptive interactive qualitative research methods. The subjects of this study were 1 studio leader, 1 treasurer, 1 composer, and 1 music player. Primary data is basic data based on observations and interviews. Secondary data is data obtained from references and thesis. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews and documentation. The conclusion of this writing is the Narasinga II Dance Studio is a Dance Studio that uses a family organization and is able to maintain its existence. The advice given is so that Narasinga II Dance Studio is getting better at managing the Studio.
