Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know how the shape of the song Benteng Angin. The theory used to discuss the elements of song form by Karl-Edmund Prier SJ (2014: 2), namely: 1) Motives, 2) Phrases, 3) Periods, 4) Cadence, 5) Themes. Theories used to discuss the elements of music by Aaron Copland and several other scientists are: 1) Rhythm, 2) Melody, 3) Harmony, 4) Timbre, 5) Tempo, 6) Dynamics, 7) Expression. The research method uses descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach. The results of this study are 1) find out the problem formulation that is how the form of the song Benteng Angin by Syaiful Amri KH (Syaiful Kampar) in Kampar Kiri Tengah District Kampar Regency Riau Province. The results of analyzing the form of the song Benteng Angin is the song Benteng Angin until now still an Icon in the Kampar District Forestry Service, always sung in formal and non-formal events at the Forest Service District of Kampar. The song Benteng angin has 2 themes and is in the form of a 3-part song namely sentences A, B, and C, the type of vocal song Benteng Angin is Soprano, playing in the Cis (C#) major or 7# major tone, signaling 4/4, entering the song on the first bar is first tapped with note ½ or note 2, tap. The song Benteng Angin consists of 33 bars, the tempo of Allegretto (rather fast) with a speed of 110. The song Benteng Angin in sentence A is the densest 5 motives, in sentence B there are 3 motifs, and in sentence C there are 3 motifs, and the cadence contained in sentence A that is, perfect Cadence, Plagal Cadence in sentence B, and Authentic Cadence in sentence C. Benteng Angin song contains a pattern of repetitive rhythms and break out, the flow of the melody slowly rises and slowly rises down, and there are also some melodies that move jumps. The chords on the song Benteng Angin are chords I-IV-V or Cis major-Fis major-Gis major (C# -F# -G#). Fortress song there are 2 signs of dynamics namely forte (f) and mezzo forte (mf). t
