Abstract

This study aims to determine the Aesthetic Study of Badeo Dance in Sanggar Ranah Tanjung Bunga, Langgam District, Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province. This Badeo dance starts from a group of virgin who are busy playing at dusk where the sun has started to sink, they are still comfortable playing together so forget the time to go home, in the fun of playing, they are surprised by the screams of one of their friends, Everyone panicked to see wrong a virgin who starts to show strange movements while laughing loudly unconscious, the virgin screams out loud no longer reasonable, they report to their parents about things from events that make them confused because they know the virgin is being possessed by invisible creatures eyes or sounds, then the smart person or Bomo is called to treat the virgin until finally the virgin realizes her possession. This study uses the theory of A.A Djelantik, this study uses descriptive analysis method using interactive qualitative data and the research subjects numbered 2 people as speakers including Eli Yanti and firstborn datuk. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. Conclusion Aesthetic Study of Badeo Dance in Sanggar Ranah Tanjung Bunga, Langgam Subdistrict, Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province, can be seen from the aesthetics, which are form or appearance, weight or content and appearance. And can also be seen from the dance moves, costumes and music.
