Abstract

The strong cement strength can keep the casing firm, withstand stresses from horizontal and vertical directions and seal the abnormal pressure zone in the formation. Therefore it is necessary to add additives to the cement suspension so that the strength of the cement can match the conditions of the formation. One of the alternative additives that have been studied is the pozzolanic ingredient from ampel bamboo leaves. It was found that FA ampel bamboo leaves which contain SiO2 around 50 percent can increase the strength of cement. Based on this success, the researcher wanted to examine more deeply about the ampel bamboo leaf fly ash in terms of grain size. Can the FA of ampel bamboo leaves be produced an FA of ampel bamboo leaves with a nanometer scale, because it is known that if the size of the cement additive used is very small, it will be able to fill the small cement cavity maximally so that the cement structure is denser Therefore, the researcher will synthesize and characterize the FA of ampel bamboo leaves that have been sonicated using X-ray fluorescence (XRF) and particle size analyzer (PSA) and then test the compressive strength, shear bond strength and free water to analyze the results. Based on the results of X-ray fluorescence (XRF) testing on the FA of nano-scale ampel bamboo leaves, it was found that the compound content of SiO2 was 57%, Al2O3 1.6527% and Iron (III) Oxide, Fe2O3 0.26%. For the test results of the particle size analyzer (PSA), the grain size is in the nanometer range, which is 922 nm. From the test results of compressive strength and shear bond strength by adding a variation of 0.5% to 2.5% of the FA additive of nano-scale ampel bamboo leaves into the cement suspension, the optimum compressive strength and shear bond strength values were obtained in the addition of 1% FA ampel scale bamboo leaves. nano amounted to 5,179.82 psi and 570.36 psi. Furthermore, with the addition of 1% additive FA of ampel bamboo leaves with nano scale obtained a free water value of 3.3 ml.
