Abstract

Research with the title of the teaching of mixed ensemble music art in class VII.1 SMPN 3 Tebing Karimun Regency aims to find out how the implementation of the teaching of mixed ensemble music art in class VII.1 The study was a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were teachers and class VII.1 students of SMPN 3 Tebing, Karimun Regency who carried out the learning of cultural arts. Data collection techniques used by researchers at the time of the study are the observation techniques, interview techniques, documentation techniques and data analysis techniques. Based on the results of the study can be described that class VII.1 SMPN 3 Tebing Karimun Regency uses the 2013 teaching curriculum, with teaching components namely the existence of curriculum, syllabus, lesson plans, facilities and infrastructure, methods, and assessments. for art and culture subjects, learning uses lecture, demonstration and discussion methods. The material taught is mixed ensemble music using the following methods, students become more active, enthusiastic, and creative in their work and confidence. the results of the practical assessment of all students reached KKM 75.
