Abstract
After a long period of time, the flow rate on the mainline of CGS X – CGS Z decreased due to problems with the mainline due to obstacles that impacted production activities. One of the causes of the decrease in the flow rate on the mainline of the CGS X – CGS Z is the wax pile that reduces the inner diameter of the pipe, this requires proper handling so that the production flow rate increases again. To deal with this problem, pigging work is carried out. Pigging is one of the routine maintenance carried out in the piping world, the goal is to carry out maintenance of the pipeline by inserting a tool called a pig into the pipeline through the pig launcher. The pigs used in this work are MD Criss Cross Foam Pig with a diameter of 36 inches adjusting the inner diameter of the mainline, this tool will move down the pipe, follow the flow of fluid in it and push the solids until they arrive at the end of the pipe that has been determined. Pig will be taken back through the pig receiver in the hope that all obstacles in the pipe can be overcome so as to increase the production flow rate back in the mainline.
