Abstract

This research aims of determine the effect of the STAD type cooperative learning model on the mathematics learning students’ outcomes of tenth grade science at SMAN 9 Pekanbaru. This research was taken by a sample of 70 students by purposive sampling, with the population of all students in tenth frade science at SMAN 9 Pekanbaru. The strategy of this research is the Nonequivalen Control Group Design held for six meetings. Intruments for collecting learning outcomes through pretest and postest that would be processed using descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The technique of data collection in this research by the used tests. After data processed, the result of this research using deskriptive analysis, there is the influence of the STAD type cooperative learning model on the experimental class. Acording to the result of the research, it can be concluded that there is the influence of cooperative learnign model Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type on the result of mathematics learning students’ outcomes of tenth grade Science at SMAn 9 Pekanbaru.
