Abstract

Many elements are related in education, so it is not surprising if in the process of education generally, and learning especially, it also often arise a variety of problems. These problems can arise from the mistakes of the educational actors themselves with the challenges of a different era from previous times. the purpose of this research is to produce a learning tool with a valid and practical Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach to integer material in of class VII of State Junior High School 1 Pangkalan Kuras. The subjects of this research were 36 students of State Junior High School 1 Pangkalan Kuras. The development model used is a 4-D model using 3 stages, namely: (a) defining by analyzing curriculum, analyzing student character, and analyzing material concepts; (b) planning by designing RPP and LKPD in accordance with Core competence, Basic competence, indicators, and learning objectives to be achieved; (c) development validated by the validator, analyzing the validation data of the validator's assessment results to see the validity of the product. The results of the study showed the validity value in the RPP with a category valid enough, and the validity value of the LKPD with the category valid enough. At the time of the trial, the researcher gave the teacher's response questionnaire and student response questionnaire. Then practicality is seen from the teacher response questionnaire in the very practical category, and the student response questionnaire in the very practical category. So that the result of the research and development of learning tools with the CTL approach to integer material are produced learning tools in the form of RPP and LKPD which are tested for their validity and practicality.
