Abstract
In this research in the background by the freedom of the use of social media has shifted the value of norms and ethics in communicating well especially through social media Facebook by teenagers. The purpose of this research is to know the extent of the implementation of the Electronic Transaction and Information Act article 27 as the basis of communication ethics on social media Facebook in adolescents. Method used in this study is qualitative descriptive with the subject of research students of SMAN 1 Ujungbatu class X (Ten) aged 15 years, the selection of informant using purposive technique. Data collection using interviews, observation and documentation techniques. The results showed that communication ethics and the application of the ITE LAW of article 27 by teenagers through social media Facebook had not been well. There is a communication ethic that has not been applied by adolescents like the use of abusive words, SARA elements, writings that have a decadence, online gambling, defamation and libel. There is a communication ethic that can be applied by adolescents that is not provocative, a moral element in the context of pornography, does not take blackmail and threats. In the act of violations of communication ethics the youth do there are driving factors and inhibitory factors that are seen from the social aspects, cultural aspects and religious aspects. Teenagers are unaware of the ethical violation of communication in social media Facebook because it is considered as a friend's candor and as a form of familiarity. So, in need of understanding and knowledge of communication ethics through social media that has been contained in the LAW ITE so that the youth can use social media wisely and not commit violations of communication ethics.
