Abstract

Geopark tourism communication model Natuna Island which is based on local wisdom Rijal Apriyanto 159110169 Tourism has an important role for the improvement of a country or region, and is one way to introduce culture, history, beauty and other unique things that come from that country or region. The formulation of the problem in this study is the communication model used by the Natuna Regency Tourism Office. The purpose of this study was to determine the communication model of the Natuna Regency Tourism Office on local wisdom of the Natuna Geopark. The method used in this research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The location of this research was conducted at the Natuna Regency Tourism and Culture Office. Methods of data collection through interviews, observation, and documentation. The communication model used in this study is a two-step communication model, determining the communicator (the messenger), the message content, the communicant (the message recipient), and using the media to convey the message. The results of the author's research from the data and interviews that the author has done are the success of conveying information to people outside the region about the unique and historic tourism in Natuna Regency, namely the local wisdom of the Natuna Geopark.
