Abstract
This study aims to determine the moral message in the film Dua Biru by using Roland Barthes's semiotic analysis. The film is a genre of teen drama, directed by Gina S.Noer and produced by Startvision Plus. The film starring by Angga Aldi Yunanda (Bima), Adhisty Zara (Dara), Lulu Tobing (Ms. Dara), Cut Mini Theo (Ms. Bima), Ariella Calista (Dara's friend) and Cindy Hapsari Maharani Pujiantoro Putri (Dara's friend) This film tells about the pregnancy of high school teenagers out of wedlock, promiscuity, and many moral messages displayed in this film. In this film there are Scenes that want to find out their meaning through Roland Barthes's semiotics. Namely with a model consisting of three main elements, namely the markers Denotation, Connotation, Myth. In this study using qualitative research methods with a semiotic analysis approach. This study uses the technique of Triangulation, which is a data validity checking technique that utilizes something else outside of that data for the purposes of checking comparison of data such as interviews conducted by the author of an informant as checking the truth of information. Data collection techniques using observation, documentation and interviews. The results of this study show that this film conveys a positive message to the public, by adding elements of moral messages. The pieces in the Scenes presented in this film have 4 moral messages that are depicted in the whole film, namely: Honest, Responsible, Moral Courage, Critical.
