Abstract
Prosocial behavior is a personal action to help otherswithout any direct benefit for the helper. One of the factors driving the formation of it by participating in organizational activities is scouting. Scouting system is a scouting education system adapted to the conditions, interests and development of the Indonesian people and nation. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the scouting system on prosocial behavior on members of the Riau Islamic University scout. The approach used is quantitative by involving 97 respondents members of the Scouting of the Riau Islamic University. The sampling technique used is saturated sample technique. This study uses 2 scales in the form of a Likert scale to measure the scouting system and prosocial behavior. Analysis of the data used is the product moment. The results showed that there was a significant positive effect between the scouting system on prosocial behavior on Scout members with a correlation coefficient (r) = 0.469 P 0.000 <0.05. Scouting system contribution to prosocial behavior by 22% while 78% is influenced by other factors.
