Abstract

In everyday life, Indonesian people, especially in the city of Pekanbaru, can not be separated from transportation. The increase in the number of private vehicles and public transportation in urban areas, especially in the city of Pekanbaru has caused frequent traffic jams on road sections. In the Ciputra Mall area on Riau Road, is one of the problems that often occurs in traffic jams. This study aims to determine the factors that influence vehicle generation and towing and analyze vehicle pull and generation models through statistical testing at Ciputra Mall Pekanbaru. The study was conducted by taking primary data through surveys in the form of towing and vehicle generation on four days (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday) at Ciputra Mall Pekanbaru. Data processing is performed using the correlation method, with the results of the correlation test of vehicle pull and generation. Furthermore, testing using simple linear regression equations and multiple linear regression is used to model the vehicle pull and generation in the Ciputra Mall Pekanbaru area. Factors affecting the trip generation and the pull of movement in the Ciputra Mall Pekanbaru area are income and the type of vehicle used by the subject. The best model used is Y = -196,041 + 1,295X or it can be said to be close to 1.
