Abstract

Hr. Soebrantas Corridor is a corridor located in Tampan District, Pekanbaru City. This corridor is the gateway to the west of Pekanbaru City which is adjacent to several universities. Thus, the surrounding area is growing rapidly and causing disorder in the corridor. The purpose of this research is to design the arrangement of the Corridor Jalan Hr. Soebrantas Pekanbaru City based on the elements of Streetscape to create a living space with good and comfortable social interaction activities for all corridor users. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method used to describe the existing conditions of the Hr. Soebrantas Corridor with the Walktrough analysis method based on its physical and non-physical conditions. In addition, this study also uses the mapping analysis method to describe the physical conditions of the Hr. Soebrantas Corridor, the city of Pekanbaru. So that the corridor area can be assessed (Appraisal) to obtain specific criteria as the basis for the drafting the Hr. Soebrantas Corridor of Pekanbaru City based on Street Scape elements. Based on the results of observations that have been made it is known that the Hr. Soebrantas Corridor only has a few elements of the streetscape so that some specific criteria are formulated consisting of land use, green infrastructure, trees and landscapes, pedestrian paths, pedestrian amenities, bicycle facilities, carriagways, parking of street, bus stops, advertisements and signs, road corners. , median roads, intersections, public art to café spaces. From the special criteria that have been formulated, a design concept is obtained which becomes the basis for a corridor design that is able to enliven the surrounding space with good and comfortable social interaction activities for all users.
