Abstract
Indragiri Hilir Regency is known as the world's coconut expanse country with a plantation area of 400,741.84 hectares or 67% of the total area with a total coconut production of 8,555,667 grains per day spread across all sub-districts and the widest one is in Tembilahan District, the city of potential which is owned. PT. Kokonako is a large industrial scale with a workforce of 1,800. So it is important to see the influence of the PT. Kokonako industry as a driver of economic development in Pulau Palas Village. The target of this research is 1.identification of public perception of the existence of PT. Kokonako 2. identification of the influence of the existence of PT. Kokonako on social and economic conditions 3. identification of the influence of the existence of PT. Kokonako on infrastructure development in Pulau Palas Village. This study uses quantitative research methods which are supported by questionnaire data. The sample in this study amounted to 100 people who were processed in SPSS with data analysis methods using simple and descriptive linear regression. From the results of the research conducted, the researchers can conclude 1. The results of public perception indicate that the increase in population, assistance for health facilities in the form of ambulances, educational assistance, increasing community income, decreasing unemployment, developing trade and services and infrastructure conditions, namely roads are increasing. and road conditions are getting better and almost all people use the PLN network as a light. 2. There is an influence of PT. Kokonako on the socio-economic life of the Palas Island village community with a social correlation coefficient of 0.588 and an economy of 0.550 with a moderate and significant level of influence category 3. There is an influence of PT. Kokonako on infrastructure development with a correlation coefficient of 0.525. Suggestions in this study are that the local government needs to regulate development policies and protect productive agricultural lands in Pulau Palas Village, considering that agricultural land is getting eroded from year to year due to land that continues to be controlled by the industry and the pace of development in the area.
