Abstract
The local identity of Kampung Bandar makes this village unique in typology as a tenement village in Pekanbaru City which has an inherent colonial background. The uniqueness of Kampung Bandar is that it has historical values of the Riau Malay Kingdom and was the forerunner to the development of Pekanbaru City. The limitations of the people of Kampung Bandar today in determining their environment have led to stagnation and eventually various problems have occurred. The purpose of this research is to formulate the development of Kampung Bandar as a Sustainable Urban Village in Pekanbaru City. The research method used is a mixed method between quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative methods were used to determine the characteristics of Kampung Bandar with descriptive statistical analysis techniques. These results are used to determine the level of village sustainability with a fuzzy logic approach that is processed using Matlab R 2013a software. while the qualitative method was used to formulate the development of Kampung Bandar as a Sustainable Urban Village in Pekanbaru City. The results of this study obtained the characteristics of Kampung Bandar, namely physical; 0.52 (moderate), social; 0.44 (moderate) and economy; 0.33 (poor). The sustainability level of Kampung Bandar is in the Medium Low Sustainability category with a value of 0.25. With the low level of sustainability, it is therefore planned to develop Kampung Bandar as a sustainable urban village in Pekanbaru City. It is hoped that this development can improve the physical, social, and economic quality of the people of Kampung Bandar Kota Pekanbaru.
