Abstract
Travel by Airplane due to its competitive rates and more complete airport facilities. The location of Sultan Syarif Qasim II Airport, located in Pekanbaru City, results in a significant cost to reach the airport from other District/Cities in Riau Province. The limited time for private vehicle users when traveling by air causes the need for vehicle storage facilities at the airport. This condition has been facilitated by the availability of private parking by private airports from the airport managed by PT. Jatimas. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify characteristics of inpatient parking such as accumulation, duration, index, and parking volume. The method applied in this study is to conduct a direct survey in the field of vehicle entering and exiting parking lots and by giving the distribution of questionnaires to airport parking users for 7 days totalling 100 questionnaires. Data processing is performed by using descriptive analysis method, namely analysis by describing and reviewing data from the field in the form of statements and words carefully and sistematically. The results of the analysis obtained parking characteristics data; the largest accumulation of 73 vehicles out of a capacity of 140 vehicles. Maximum duration of 10 days 9 hours 50 minutes, minimum duration of 16 hours 10 minutes, and an average duration of 2 days 17 hours 10 minutes. The largest parking volume is 82 vehicles. The average parking index is 46.32%. Reviewed by the characteristics parking, vehicle inpatient parking at Sultan Syarif Qasim II Airport can still accommodate demand.
