Abstract
This study aims to analyze the implementation of preventive tasks and determine the inhibiting factors in the implementation of the Ombudsman's prevention tasks in improving public services in Pekanbaru City. The indicators used in this study are: coordination, outreach, and evaluation. This research takes place at the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia in Riau Province Representative by using a qualitative research type with a descriptive survey method, namely by conducting direct interviews in the field and observing the research location to analyze the empirical conditions that occur. The informants in this study were the Chief Representative of the Ombudsman, 3 Assistant, Ombudsman Secretariat, Secretary of Disdukcapil Pekanbaru City, and 2 people in Pekanbaru City. Data collection techniques through research tools in the form of interviews, observation and documentation. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the implementation of ombudsman prevention tasks in improving public services in the city of Pekanbaru in general has been going well. This has been assessed through indicators of coordination, outreach, and evaluation.
