Abstract
The Village Consultative Body is an organization that functions as a body that sets village regulations together with the Village Head, accommodating and channeling the aspirations of the community. Its members are the representatives of the villagers concerned who are determined by deliberation and consensus. BPD has a large role in assisting the Village Head to formulate village planning and overall village development. In line with the development of the Village Consultative Body (BPD) Sungai Aur Village, Batang Peranap District, Indragiri Hulu Regency, it has not yet demonstrated its role in participating in village development activities carried out by the village administration to the full. The various activities carried out by the village administration during the current year seemed to wait for orders and seemed to be passive. The purpose of this research is to find out and explain the effectiveness of the implementation of the Village Consultative Body (BPD) task in channeling the aspirations of the community in Sungai Aur Village, Batang Peranap District, Indragiri Hulu Regency and its obstacles. The method used is descriptive and quantitative methods; A sample of 30 people consisted of the Village Head, BPD Desa Aur Aur, RW Chairperson, RT Chairperson, and community leaders. Questionnaire and interview data collection techniques and descriptive and quantitative data analysis. This study concludes that the Effectiveness of the Implementation of the Duties of the Village Consultative Body (BPD) in Distributing Community Aspirations in Sungai Aur Village, Batang Peranap District, Indragiri Hulu Regency in the category is quite effective. This indicates that in the implementation of this deliberation can not run optimally. This means that this meeting has not fully reached consensus, the problems that occur in the implementation of this deliberation include there are still members and people who are not actively participating in the implementation of this deliberation and the program is not precisely determined by its realization, so this makes a lot of correction of errors mistakes that occur in musyarawah.
