Abstract
Productivity is one of the fundamental factors that influences the performance of competitiveness in the construction industry. Worker productivity is one of the main elements in determining the successful implementation of a construction project. For this reason, management must be able to know how to measure labor productivity before making efforts to increase productivity. Factors affecting labor productivity include field conditions and supporting facilities, worker expertise, age or old age factors, wage suitability, work experience, worker health, coordination and planning, managerial or field management. Therefore, in an effort to analyze labor productivity must consider variables that may affect the level of productivity (Khairun, 2016). The purpose of this study was to determine the level of labor productivity in column work and to review variables that could affect labor productivity by means of a questionnaire. The method used in this research is to use the work sampling method with a productivity rating approach and accompanied by questionnaires. Productivity rating approach is to record the work time of workers in column work using a stopwatch. The time obtained in the field is classified into three types of activities namely effective, contribution time and ineffective time and accompanied by questionnaires to find out the factors that affect labor productivity. From the analysis of the data that has been done it can be seen that the level of productivity (LUR) of labor in column work are all above 50%. This indicates that labor productivity in this work is productive and satisfying. The highest LUR value is 75%, namely labor 1 that is doing pembesian work, while the lowest LUR is 53.23, namely labor 2 who are doing casting work. From the results of the distribution of the questionnaire, it was found that the factor causing the highest labor productivity was improper wages hindering work with a coefficient of 0.856. While the factor causing the lowest labor productivity is a good relationship between workers with a coefficient of 0.435.
