Abstract

The growth of the national construction market is increasing from year to year in line with the high demand for infrastructure development in Indonesia. . This makes the construction industry sector one of the sectors that supports Indonesia's economic growth. Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the role of the construction industry in the economy has reached 10.36% in the third quarter of 2018. In every implementation of the construction of a construction project such as high rise buildings, roads and bridges, wherever and in any form will never be avoided from risk, the greater the scale of a project, the greater the possibility of these risks will occur. The importance of assessing risk is because the purpose of implementing risk management is to reduce risks that vary with the likelihood of adverse effects such as loss of costs, quality and project schedule, and can result in project failure. The purpose of this study is to identify risks, determine the level of risk (low-medium-high), and to find out the appropriate dominant medium risk response in the building construction project of the Faculty of Medicine Muhammadiyah University Prof. Dr. Hamka. The method used is a quantitative research method, namely analyzing probability and impact data using the Severity Index calculation method, then the results are plotted into the Probability and Impact Matrix to categorize all risk variables. The results of the research identification and risk analysis in the medical faculty development project of the University of Muhammadiyah Prof.Dr. Hamka are that there are 21 valid risk variables for the project. Obtained 6 medium category risks that affect the cost, 9 medium category risks that affect time. The most dominant risk in the cost aspect is a change in design or specification, while the time aspect is uncertain weather and a change in design or specification. The response to erratic weather risk is by scheduling large jobs such as casting so as not to enter the rainy season. The response to the risk of changes in design or specifications by the owner is to submit an extension of time claim due to a change in design by the owner and put all the work added and less into a variaton order.
