Abstract

The used of enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods for a field needs to be ensured because the cost of using these methods is not cheap. In overcoming these problems needed an appropriate selection to minimize failures that will occur. The development of ideas and applications of using fuzzy logic in the upstream oil industry is still new and not widely used. Research on the EOR method in a field is now experiencing development. This provides an opportunity to apply the concept of fuzzy logic in a field with the latest screening criteria from Aladasani. Three important things that cause fuzzy logic can be used in the upstream petroleum industry, namely, the development of screening criteria, more than one recommended method, and a smaller error rate. One method of fuzzy logic is Mamdani. Mamdani produces a rule that is easier and can combine all the screening criteria data in one working process. This research can be used in a variety of field conditions during the availability of screening criteria data. Field data obtained from secondary data in the form of existing journals. In this research process, two screening methods are used manually using the Aladasani criteria screening table and the application is made based on java EORken. The EORken application will be compared with the EORgui software regarding the similarity of the methods produced. Manual screening criteria are used by matching reservoir and field fluid data in each EOR method, while screening criteria use the EORken and EORgui applications by entering field data into the application or software so that a comparison of the results of the EOR method is recommended. The recommended EOR methods in this study are ASP and polymer flooding, where from manual screening using Aladasani table the results are polymer flooding and CO2 Miscible methods. The results of the EORken application with the EORgui software show that there are similarities to the first recommended method, namely ASP in X field.
