Abstract
This research is a qualitative research to examine the readiness of students and teachers to face the online learning process at SMAN 1 Bangkinang Kota. The focus of this research is to explain the readiness of students and teachers to face the online learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine the readiness of students and teachers to face online learning and the benefits of this study were to provide a conclusion about how the readiness of students and teachers to face the online learning process at SMAN 1 Bangkinang Kota obtained from the perception of a sample that includes teachers and school students. This study used a qualitative study using the snowball sampling method. Data collection methods used were observation, interviews, documentation. The data analyzed were the results of interviews with students and teachers. The results showed that the readiness of teachers and students to face the online learning process at SMAN 1 Bangkinang Kota was not ready. Because there are still teachers who are not ready to cause students to be ineffective in doing online learning provided by the teachers, this was stated by the students and the teachers concerned.
