Abstract
The increasingly heavy competition in the world of work that will be faced by students after graduating from college makes it a reason not to plan their careers well. Career planning is closely related to self-awareness, because with good self-awareness skills students will be able to recognize and understand the potential they have both their advantages and limitations, so that with good self-awareness will help students in making career planning. This research aims to find out how self-awareness links to student career planning. This research uses a quantitative approach. The subject of this study was a psychology student of riau Islamic University as many as 194 students. Sampling techniques use purposive sampling techniques. The instruments used in the study were the self-awareness scale and career planning scale with data collection through questionnaires, which were disseminated through Google forms. Data analysis uses non parametric statistics of spearman rho. The correlation coefficient value of 0.738 with a significant level of 0.000 < 0.05 can thus be concluded that there is a significant relationship between self-awareness to student career planning, so it can be said that the hypothesis in this study is accepted.
