Abstract

This research was conducted in one of the small and medium micro-enterprises in the Siak Hulu sub-district of Kampar. With regard to this research which is the object of research is furniture business. The purpose of this study was to determine the extent to which the suitability of the application of accounting conducted in furniture businesses in the Siak Hulu subdistrict of Kampar with basic accounting concepts. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data, data collection techniques in this study are literature studies, structured interviews, documentation, and observation. If the data has been collected the data is then analyzed using descriptive methods. Based on the results of the research and discussion it can be concluded that the recordings carried out by furniture entrepreneurs are not in accordance with the basic concepts of accounting.
