Abstract
Durian skin waste is accumulated almost every year in Riau to be used as a filler in the manufacture of particle boards and PP (polypropylene) type plastic waste as a composite binder on the particle board. The purpose of this study was to obtain optimum physical and mechanical properties from a mixture of durian skin waste mixtures with recycled plastic (Polypropylene) with a comparison of mixing compositions. The stages of this study began from the preparation of materials, the manufacture of particle board molds, refinement of 16 mesh durian skin waste, the composition of materials consisting of 50% durian skin waste: 50% plastic (PP), 40% durian skin waste: Plastic (PP) 60 %, and 30% durian skin waste: Plastic (PP) 70% then hot pressed with a temperature of 1900C. from the calculation results we can get the value of the density test of 0,64 gr/c
