Abstract

This planning aims to produce a strong, sturdy, safe, and efficient design and working drawing of grass cutting machine construction. Get the performance test results of Organic Waste Cutting Machine. Get the results of analysis such as the diameter of the pulley used, the power needed, and so forth from the Organic Waste Cutting Machine. Three problem formulations are submitted and relate to all three planning objectives. The process of designing a grass cutting machine is carried out with stages, namely planning and explaining tasks / functions, planning product concepts (work drawings). The components analyzed include power, torque occurring on the shaft and skeletal construction. The drive power of the grass cutting machine is planned to use an electric motor that is adjusted to the electrical power capability for SMEs which is estimated to average from 900 to 1300 watts The design results in producing a weft grass cutting machine with specifications of length size 773, width 590 and height 800 mm. Production capacity of grass cutting machine 750 kg/hour. The engine drive source is a 1 HP DC electric motor with a 1400 rpm rotation. The transmission system uses a V-belt with a 19 mm diameter drive shaft. The frame construction is made of 40x40x3 mm elbow profile with St 42 material and casing using eyser plate with thickness of 0.8 mm. V-belt circumference length 941mm
