Abstract
Coconut can grow well in almost all places, especially those with a tropical climate, especially in Indonesia. Coconut grow in almost all areas from the coast to the remote areas as smallholder plantation crops. Based on the potential of coconut, a coconut peeler tool is needed, in this final project the author designed a coconut peeler with a mechanical system using a lever. Where this proposal is motivated by the condition of the people who are not ready to accept sophisticated technology. So, it is necessary to make or design a tool ased on the capabilities of community resources, where in this study the construction/of, peeling system, and lever for peeling will be designed. It planned with a construction size of 30 x 14 x 36.5 cm, with L iron material (St 37 steel) and also using hollow iron 2.5 x 2.5 x 0.4 cm. From the results of this study, it was found that the peeling capacity wos 1 coconut/minute continuesly, The way this coconut peeler works is by pressing the lever of the knife, to peel off the coconut.
