Abstract
Watermelon is a vine that originated from desert areas in Southern Africa and is now growing rapidly in Indonesia. Watermelon is usually harvested from the fruit to be eaten fresh or made juice. The similarity of watermelon rind texture which is sweet and not sweet makes it difficult for people to choose watermelon. There needs to be a system for selecting watermelons by analyzing the color of the watermelons. In this study using statistical feature extraction methods that produce mean, skewness, kurtosis and entropy. This value will be processed using thealgorithm euclidean distance. Testing the accuracy of the system has a performance value of 88.8%, this application system can be developed with different methods. so that it has performance even better.
