Abstract

Computer networks with several conveniences that are owned will not have a good impact without monitoring (supervision) is carried out so that their use is as expected, some of the shortcomings of a computer network that are connected without monitoring are that one user enters another computer network without any authority allowed, uncontrolled data in and out of the network, and others. This local network monitoring application uses a network type with a client-server model and the system used is a backdoor work system that has the ability to stealth or infiltrate using this capability. The results of this study are that this system can help provide results in monitoring network usage via a LAN network. This system can make it easier for teaching assistants or lecturers to see computer activity by students. Network usage data can be monitored properly, obtained in terms of activity accessing or opening unauthorized applications such as Chrome and Firefox browsers. The advantage of implementing a backdoor in the application being built is that it can view the history of computer usage in the laboratory. The drawback of implementing a backdoor in an application is that it can cause the computer to be slow in use, especially if using low computer specifications.
