Abstract
Technology has progressed very rapidly along with the times. Advances in technology encourage people to try to overcome all the problems that arise around them, especially in the field of monitoring. This study intends to design a monitoring system on the squid proxy using the cacti application. In the test, there are 2 ways, namely for squid to block certain domain sites and in cacti monitoring the network traffic of the squid host as well as on other hosts that have been added. The results obtained from this study are that Squid Proxy successfully blocks the URL domain according to the configuration made and Cacti monitors the Squid network with graphical displays and information from the host being monitored.
