Abstract

Technology is now growing rapidly and there are many new things in the world of technology, including computer networks. With the advancement and development of this technology, a new idea or concept emerged, namely SDN. Software Define Networking is a new approach concept for designing, building and managing computer networks by separating the control plane and data plane. Some of the controllers that have developed include OpenDayLight, POX, NOX, Beacon, Ryu, ONOS, Floodlight, Maestro and there are several others that are still being developed. The important thing in choosing a controller is the performance of the controller itself, it must be ensured that the controller does not become an obstacle in network development. The purpose of this study was to compare the Floodlight, POX Opendaylight (ODL) and Ryu controllers on the Software Defined Network (SDN) architecture. In performance testing on throughput, the open day light controller has an average transfer rate of 68 bps and the POX controller has a smaller delay performance value with an overall average value of 214 ms. Meanwhile, the floodlight controller has a jitter performance with a queuing range for sending packets of -0.00116 ms and packet loss with the percentage of data packets sent is 96%, which are data packets that reach their destination.
