Abstract
In planning the number of children there are several factors that must be considered, one of which is the health factor in pregnancy by considering several things such as early pregnancy, pregnancy and childbirth that are too close to the next, pregnancy and childbirth that are too frequent, and pregnancy and childbirth in old age. One way to avoid this is to plan the number of children using contraception. Choosing contraception is not easy because the effects on the body will not be known as long as you have not used it. In addition there are some contraceptives that are not always suitable for all individuals because the situation and body condition of each individual is always different. In choosing contraception, the health worker will give a number of questions about age until the intended use, then analyze the answers and decide which contraception should be used. Implementing this method will take a long time and has the potential to cause errors. To assist in the selection of contraception can be done using a decision support system. Based on the results of the conclusions and implementation of the system, the decision support system for the selection of contraception using the profile matching method can make it easier for health workers to determine which contraception is suitable for patients.
