Abstract
In educational institutions, the internet plays a big role in scientific development and is the main tool in an academic institution. One of the educational institutions that has long provided internet access for its students is Abdurab University. In addition to internet connection via cable (LAN), Abdurab University also provides internet access via a WiFi network, better known as the Abdrurab Hotspot. This Abdrurab Hotspot covers a certain area where students can access the internet via wireless (without cables) via laptops, notebooks, or smartphones. Because Abdurab University has been providing this facility for a long time, this study aims to determine the quality factors of the Abdrurab Hotspot service at Abruab University. In this study using the variable Quality of Experience (QOE), with sub-variables namely Quality of Effectiveness, Usability, Quality of Efficiency, and Context. This study involved 46 active students at Abdurab University as respondents who were distributed questionnaires of 20 statements using Random Sampling, then continued with network quality testing using Quality of Service (QoS) variables with parameters namely Troughput, Delay, Jitter, Packet Loss, by do the calculations at the time of video streaming . The results of this study include the quality of Abdrurab Hotspot based on user perceptions and service testing carried out in the good category, resulting in 2 factors, namely Quality of Effectiveness and Context, which are the dominant factors of QoE on Abdrurab Hotspot. Suggestions for further research can be to do research with other sub-variables and do testing on the video streaming server and do testing on browsing.
