Abstract

Culinary is a cultural product that is closely related to society, because apart from the main function of foodstuffs as the fulfillment of basic needs. Authentic culinary is one type of community creativity in processing food ingredients and adding cultural values. West Sumatra is an example of a region that has a unique variety of natural, traditional regional foods and is well known throughout Indonesia. In general, people only know traditional West Sumatran culinary delights such as rendang, dendeng balado, satay padang, and others. Meanwhile, there are many more traditional West Sumatran culinary delights found in various areas of West Sumatra that are not widely known by modern society. As far as economic conditions are not so stable and tend not to last long, manufacturers are looking for new breakthroughs by exploring business opportunities and expanding market share online through the use of the e-commerce system. This fact can foster global competitiveness because the sales system is no longer limited to certain areas.
