Abstract
Water is used to meet the basic needs in daily live. A good sources of groundwater that can be consumed directly without being processed is found in the Pulau Sarak Village, Kampar District, Kampar Regency is one of the economic supports for the people living in the area. So this research was conducted to determine in detail the soil layers and geological conditions below the surface. The research also aims to determine the estimation of the aquifer zone. This study uses the Wenner configuration resistivity geoelectric method as primary data and secondary well log data as supporting data. From the results of data acquisition, analysis and interpretation that has been carried out, there are 3 constituent layers that dominate the research area, namely a clay layer with a resistivity value range of 0.4377 – 1 m, a silt layer with a resistivity value ranging from 1.47 – 20 m and a silt layer with a resistivity value ranging from 1.47 – 20 m. a layer of sand with resistivity values ranging from 20.2 to 597 m which is suspected to be an aquifer containing groundwater with a thickness of 5 to 21 meters below the surface.
