Other thesis, Universitas Islam Riau.
Abstract
The research is located on Jalan Lintas Rokan Hulu Tongkolio, with slope lithology in the form of sandstones. The purpose of this research is to find the types of failures and their countermeasures using Geotechnical studies, namely Rock Mass Rating (RMR) and Kinematic. 8 scanlines with a limit of 10 m each were investigated to determine the RMR value. The UCS values of the slopes are classified as weak rock (2-25 MPa). The variation in RQD had an average value of 44.875% due to differences in weathering classes. Discontinuity distances ranging from 82.5 - 185.7 mm with a slightly rough surface and dry slope conditions. The average RMR value was 33.87. Therefore, the slopes were classified as Class IV (Ugly). Kinematic analysis reveals that the slopes have a type of probability of failure, namely Wedges. Based on the results of the RMR analysis and its kinematic, it can prove the slope failure that occurred. With a description of the possible shape of a large field or wedge landslide and is in dire need of repair.
