Abstract

Geographically the research area is located at 0 ° 20'24.95 "LU - 100 ° 43'18.24" BT and 0 ° 14'43.07 "LU - 100 ° 51'19.48" BT. The research area is located in the XIII district of Koto Kampar, Kampar District, Riau Province. This study aims to determine the potential of geotourism in the area, with a method of conducting field surveillance. By taking geomorphological data, lithology, geological structure, and check spot geotourism location. The analysis carried out by the data are, geomorfo analysis, petrographic analysis, structural analysis, and quantitative and qualitative analysis of geotourism. The results obtained in the geomorphology of the study area were gently sloping hills to steep hills. The lithology of the study area is dominated by sandstone and claystone. The geological structure that works is directed northeast - southwest. The geotourism potential of the research area is divided into three, namely: Geomorphological landscape zone, Water Play Zone and Waterfall zone. Facilities in the Geomorphological landscape zone and Water Play Zone are quite supportive, while the Waterfall zone is not equipped with facilities at all. Based on the results of the tuah peak questionnaire analysis has the highest value of 57.69% and based on the analysis of the assessment criteria the geo-tourism of Gulamo waterfall has the highest value of 19. While based on the SWOT analysis viewed from the tourism side the least likely threat is geomorphological zone tourism and seen from the other side of tourism that has good educational value is the waterfall zone.
