Abstract

Workload is an activity or a person's ability to accept work as a responsibility that must be done. Locus control is a person's control or control over his life. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between locus control and workload for every employee who works in a state-owned company. The number of subjects in this study amounted to 149 PLN employees who work in the field. Data collection techniques in this study using quota sampling technique. Data collection used 36 items on the workload scale and 34 items on the locus control scale. analysis used. The results of this study use analysis of reliability, validity, descriptive, assumptions and hypothesis testing, using SPSS. 20 obtained α: 0.904 locus control scale and : 0.854 workload scale, with a very low categorization of the workload-locus control scale of 100 . Normality test K-sz = 0.06 p> 0.05 stated normal data. Based on the analysis of the alternative hypothesis which states that there is no relationship between the technique used, it shows R = - 0.0103, p> 0.05 indicating the hypothesis is rejected. It is hoped that further research will consider variables that can affect work-life balance.
