Abstract

Humans are social creatures who have to help one another. In this day and age, humans are more individualistic and prosocial behavior itself is low, especially among adolescents. The low level of prosocial behavior itself can be dangerous because it can have negative impacts such as antisocial to juvenile delinquency. The existence of social support from people in the environment around the individual can prevent the negative impact of low prosocial behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between social support and prosocial behavior in adolescents at SMA Negeri 02 Enok, Bagan Jaya Village, Enok District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. This research is included in quantitative research in this study a sample of 15 years and 18 years with a sample size of 300 subjects. The results of the study using Spearman rank correlation analysis with a correlation coefficient value of r 0.408 with a significant p of 0.000 (p˂ 0.05), it can be concluded that there is a relationship between social support and prosocial behavior in adolescents in SMA Negeri 02 Enok, Bagan Jaya Village, Enok District, Regency. Indragiri Hilir. In the sense that the hypothesis in this study is accepted
